Last show with GSOE

I'm having my last performance with "The Greatest Show on Earth" this Sunday. I have a new job creating a new score for a circus I've worked for before. I'm looking forward to working with Cirkestra some more and getting creative. I'll be closer to home and this will allow me to attend my brother's wedding this summer. The timing is great and I'm looking forward to the change.
I lost my camera a few months ago so I haven't had many new pictures. But I did buy a video camera last week so perhaps I'll make a movie about this.

Raleigh

I've been practicing on the new accordion a lot. It's nice to have a quality instrument on hand to help me meet the challenge of Chopin. I got the accordion from Italy. I lost my camera so I can't take a picture of it right now. Actually I left
my camera in the trainyard in Miami the last night we were there. I was playing music with a bunch of the musicians and one of the new clowns out there by the tracks that night. It got dark and we went in and then the train left town. My camera is probably out there still.
If you're wondering why I haven't been posting it's because I started a top secret other project on the web which was taking a lot of time. Also I've been rebuilding this site and that should be done soon. The blog will be up and running again and their'll be a an rss feed.

Denver

Winter has arrived. It snowed. There's a cool coffee shop in Denver called Penn St. Perk Listened to my iPod while walking through town to get here. Big grey mist in the air. last night discovered that One of the Chopin Waltzes plays nice on the accordion.

Salt lake

I looked at quite a few accordions in the accordion shop.
The owner Paul spent a lot of time with me but I didn't quite find what I wanted. But the llittle brown one was pretty close. It just didn't have enough notes on it to play "Philomena" when I tried. Sheesh!
Paul suggested that the factory in Italy could build a proper one for me. So, finally, 6 months later, I've found what I want. It's going to look and sound unique. I'll get a lot of use out of it because it'll be little and travel well.
Of course I'm thrilled. It can take weeks or months to build an accordion. You might have a chance to hear it soon if I'm playing in your town. Cirkestra is going on a little mini tour. Hopefully it will be done by then.

Salt Lake

It took a long time for the circus train to get us here. Actually we spent most of a day stopped with engine trouble. Yup circus trains break down too.
Sheesh! Salt Lake sure has changed a lot since I was last here. Holy Latter Day Saints Batman. There's an accordion shop here. I'm going back for a second visit this afternoon.

Washington and Oregon

I saw that Julianne Moore Movie and it was good. My sister and I went to a nice theater in San Francisco. We had to figure out which bus to ride and get there. It was quite an adventure. My sister also found an accordion shop for me to explore. They had a nice one called a "Cantabella". I might go back and claim it for my own.
Everette Washington has an unusual amount of Teriyaki restaurants. They also have a nice ocean view. Or maybe that was a "sound" not an ocean.
Portland has an accordion shop too! There were two good instruments but I didn't fall in love with either of them.
Yesterday was my birthday.
